Anonymous asked: as a feminist, my issue thats first among equals is women of color. i feel unsafe on campus and more specifically, a part of FUC because I feel like white privilege is more prevalent in FUC. White feminists seem to disregard WoC interest. I do not feel safe as a part of FUC. I feel like the e-board has a lack of diversity when it comes to race. just my two cents.
White privilege is definitely something the executive board of feminist club is aware of and has been actively working towards addressing as best we can. As white individuals, we do not feel comfortable leading meetings concerning WoC. Rather, we are looking into contacting groups on campus that involve WoC in order to best provide diversity to our feminist group. It is never the intention of FUC to exclude anyone at all.
