And before I get messages talking about how I need to stand in solidarity with other feminists;

lol no.

I get the message, quite often, that feminists shouldn’t be seen fighting. That we have to agree to take our disputes behind a veil where anti-feminists won’t see. That when we fight we are hurting our cause.

I would like to disagree. Not respectfully but with a giant neon sign around my neck saying “FUCK THAT”. People who try to justify using oppressive language, imagery or logic do not deserve my support.

Our movement isn’t weakened by debate. When we call each other out, as we must, it’s not out of hatred towards feminism and feminists. It’s out of a great sense of love for our cause. It’s about becoming less and less oppressive, it’s about realizing that our world view is not free from criticism just because we read Full Frontal Feminism at 14.
